Spinach Research Project

Working directly with Ephemeral Forever our task was to bring to life months of valuable research, workshop insights and debriefs for a global corporation regarding the emotionally sensitive and complex journey that is baby weaning.

Combine Studio were commissioned by Ephemeral Forever to develop an effective platform for showcasing these materials in a strategic yet considered deliverable.

After a strategic planning and development period we designed and built an internal website that embodies the dynamism and energy from workshops, whilst maintaining a considered and intuitive approach. The site sits at the core of consumer insight findings and provides a private and secure home that can be used to bring external agencies and new-hires up to speed and drive future insights.

Itchy Pig Records

Formed in 2011, itchy pig has an unusual roster of artists forming all shapes and sounds across all different genres of music. When Lee approached Combine Studio he came with a specific intention to design and develop the new labels website.

After sitting down and discussing ideas we knew immediately knew that we needed to develop a much more user focused site to sit at the core of the itchy pig brand. Given the ability to upload releases, announce artists, display events & most importantly interact with uses both directly on the site and socially across all major media outlets. Lee now has a site that is used at the core of the record label, both as a promoting and customer interaction tool.

Yutaka Tajima

Formed in 2004 Yutaka Tajima is an independent clothing label based in Sheffield, a proud supporter of high standards and British manufacturing, the label is based around encouraging collaborations with inspirational creative individuals all over the world.

Combine Studio designed a selection of branded interpretations to be featured as T-shirts for the label. Built around the geometric Y that is then applied and adjusted by a variety of individual designers and then printed onto T-shirts that are distributed and sold throughout the UK.

Bradford & Airedale Connections Magazine

The connections newsletter is a regional industry specific magazine and information resource for the Bradford District Primary Care Trust.

Working directly alongside the communications team, we produced a concise, informative publication, printed and distributed across the trust with emphasis placed upon a clear typographic hierarchy. Connections Magazine is extremely well received as both an internal and external point of communication.

Enterprising FE

The Young People’s Enterprise Forum (YPEF) aim is to provide CPD, resources and support for teachers to ensure enterprise education is delivered creating an enterprise culture in every aspect of college life.

Combine studio worked alongside the team based in Leeds and was tasked with designing and developing a website that would communicate the intrinsic value developed by the programme. Following a clear, branded layout the website was built to provide internal staff with a communication platform so that YPEF members in locations across Yorkshire, could keep in touch with the latest progress of the overall project.

The solution was to provide an online tool in which members could quickly update, add & amend research and information about the programme, announce upcoming events, and raise topics across a discussion forum.

Cutler IT

Cutler IT provide network infrastructures, servers, Cloud Computing, Repairs & Support across all IT and Networked Systems.

John approached Combine Studio to help re-engage their existing customers and create a campaign that would be added collateral to their new / retention business strategy. The solution provided was a 210mm square brochure that promoted the benefits of working with Cutler IT. Using a staff centered photographic direction, gave their clients an insight into their working practices and culture.

The Collab

Working for yourself but not by yourself, was the line developed to capture the ethos around The Collab. A self initiated project and event that gave creative freelancers around South Yorkshire a chance to work amongst each other, share ideas and discuss projects.

Combine Studio developed the name, design and marketing strategy. Working in collaboration with Dan Cunningham we developed the website and created a language that speaks in a tone of voice for the creative individual, this was then transferred across the website, printed collateral, lanyards and even branded cupcakes.

Overall the day was a huge success forming connections between creative individuals from all sectors strengthening the local creative community.

The Strait & Narrow

The Strait and Narrow is a brand new Bier style café in the heart of Lincoln’s historical town on The Strait (hence the name). The Strait and Narrow has a deep traditional past but with a slight modern twist.

Combine Studio was approached to develop the overall branding and design for the café including brand identity, signage, printed collateral & website. Creating a traditional look and feel by utilising a contemporary typographic styling and a authentic yet intriguing photographic direction gives a warm and inviting aura to the café.

Re.Evolve

Since January 2000, CIDA has worked to increase the capacity of the creative sector to contribute to national and regional economic prosperity. They worked with governments on overarching strategy and with businesses on project specific delivery, both in the UK and internationally.

While working with Mankind Creative we sat down with CIDA to develop an arrangement of branding collateral designed specifically to sit within a digital campaign strategy to target all creative sector businesses across South Yorkshire. From inception to execution we developed the naming, branding, direct mail and digital campaign that evoked a playful and innovative approach by using traditional print media alongside digital augmented reality creating an exciting and engaging campaign, that was extremely well received by the local creative community.

A selection of Brand Identities, Marques and Logotypes from a variety of projects that have been developed over the last 2 years.

Artism

Design & Art Direction for the Artism Project. A project that called upon various designers around the world to create a poster that communicated a message about autism to the general public.

The design was developed by selecting a specific colour from a chosen palette that had responsive properties to people with autism. The poster uses an appropriated typeface to resonate the difficulties in miscommunication and social interactions that people with autism deal with on a day to day basis.

NHS Childcare Services

Combine Studio recently helped design, develop & create a new web presence for the NHS Childcare support service. We sat down with the communications team and discussed how we could make the website more accessible to current users.

The problem we immediately identified was how difficult it was to update the site, no-one wanted to use it! We worked alongside them to create a much more accessible system that allowed them to quickly upload new content & features. The end result was more up to date, website which resulted in a higher number of revisits. By creating these meaningful interactions the site is now the central point of information for both staff & public users.

Advanced Brewing UK

ABUK are an independent micro brewery suppliers that provide beautiful looking brewing equipment to restaurant and bar owners that want to diversify and attract a new set of customers by brewing their own in house beer or ale.

Working in collaboration with Mankind Creative we helped ABUK overhaul their current brand image to bring into line with the change in their business model. They wanted to be sophisticated, professional and contemporary. We worked with them to produce a new Brand Identity, Stationery, Promotional DVD, Marketing Brochure, Website and Large Event Graphics.

Doncaster Hothouse Festival

Doncaster Hothouse is an Arts Festival that is run every year during March and spread over a selection of venues throughout Doncaster.

While working for Human we completely redesigned, redeveloped and implemented a full re-branding exercise on the whole project, Including the Brand Identity, Marketing Literature & Brochure, Large Format Advertising and a fully redeveloped content managed website that underpinned the whole project and proved to be the backbone of the entire marketing strategy.
